The Dixeia charina or African small white butterfly emerge from their cocoons after the rain season. They are all over every landscape as I pen this story. They live up to a maximum of 3 weeks to complete their life cycle after leaving a new offspring to carry the mantle of their species. There are few such delightful spectacles in nature, a wonder to behold.
