Poem: Symphony Beneath the African Sun
Beneath the warm and golden sun,
a lioness walks with her little ones.
Along the road, they quietly roam,
the endless savannah their wilderness home.
Then from the bush, a leopard appears,
moving with grace before he soon disappears.
A black rhino follows, curious and bold,
sauntering forward, Majestic and old.
But sensing the vehicle drawing near,
the rhino pauses, then disappears -
turning gently away from the open road,
back to the bush and its quiet abode.
Across the valley, the zebras graze,
gathered together through sunlit days.
Companions beneath the endless sky,
while birds weave melodies drifting by.
Lion, leopard, rhino and zebra share,
the ancient rhythms of open air.
And through every call,
every rustling leaf and tree,
the savannah whispers: just breath, just be.
